I had occasion to take a short-cut through Brookfield Place the other weekend.  (Brookfield Place - Front Street between Bay and Yonge streets.).

Tucked into the south-east corner on street level is a Tim Hortons.

But not just any Tim Hortons.

A "Hockey Hall of Fame Special Edition" Tim Hortons!!

A small Hockey Hall of Fame exhibit has been curated in and around the Tim's franchise.

Really, can you get any more Canadian than Tim's and hockey!!

Well, how about Doug Gilmour's gloves from the 92/93 season (127 points that year!), Johnny Bower's skates, and Punch Imlach's white fedora (you young 'uns are going to have to google "Punch Imlach".  And well you should!)

October 1957, Maurice "Rocket" Richard became the first play in NHL history to score 500 points - the puck is on display.

And the skates worn by Frank Nighbor of the Ottawa Senators during the 1920-21 season.

To name just a few excellent artefacts!

If you're heading south to Union Station and have a sudden craving for a double double, make a slight detour and head over to Brookfield Place.  If you're a hockey fan and actually do know who Punch Imlach was, I promise you won't be disappointed!

And the best part.  The Hockey Hall of Fame is just one floor below!
